Watch the first 15 tedious, gross minutes of LocoCycle

Chris Plante co-founded Polygon in 2012 as editor-at-large and is now editor-in-chief. He also created and occasionally teaches NYU’s Introduction to Games Journalism course.

LocoCycle, a game in which a motorcycle drags a man down a highway, using his body as a weapon, intends to be humorous.

Instead it's a humiliating blemish on the launch of the Xbox One. I don't intend to editorialize the issue too much — I'll leave that for Polygon's review — but I do want to share the first 15 minutes of the game, a live-action cutscene that is an uncomfortable pile-up of unfunny stereotypes and awkward editing.
