Sega Australia's remake of Caste of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse is now available on iOS according to a listing on the iTunes App Store.
The iOS version costs $9.99, requires iOS 6.1 or later and is compatible with iPhone 4S and up, iPads third generation and up, iPad Mini, iPad Air and fifth generation iPod touch. The listing notes Castle of Illusion for iOS has been optimized for iPhone 4S/iPad2 and above.
According to the app's listing, the mobile version allows players to control Mickey across five different environments, take on hidden challenges and dress up Mickey in alternate "classic" costumes.
This version of Castle of Illusion is a high-definition upgrade of the original 1990 platformer for Sega Genesis. The game launched in early September as a downloadable title for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC. Read Polygon's review here.
