Kickstarter funded behemoth Star Citizen has reached its $31 million stretch goal, unlocking the RSI Orion mining platform, game developer Chris Roberts announced in an official blog post.
The ship was selected by backers as the latest to be added to the game, with Roberts predicting the Explorer as the next ship to make the cut. Users have two more chances to vote for a new ship role, choosing between a ship from the game's Drake Interplanetary or MISC.
This comes just days after the news that Star Citizen reached its $29 million stretch goal, unlocking its single-player campaign Squadron 42.
Star Citizen is slated to release on Windows PC in 2015.
