Black Friday 2013: Your one-stop shop for video game deals

Blizzard Entertainment is extending its Black Friday sale to Jan. 1, the company announced today.

The original Black Friday sale included discounts of up to 75 percent on World of Warcraft, World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria and World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Digital Deluxe Edition. It also offered 50 percent off StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm and Heart of the Swarm Digital Deluxe Edition. The European store offered (and continues to offer at the time of writing) similar discounts.

Online video game retailer Gameolith kicked off its Black Friday sale today with up to 75 percent off a range of titles, and an extra 20 percent off with its holiday coupon code.

The sale, which runs until Dec. 3, takes 75 percent off the Frozenbyte collection, which includes Shadowgrounds, Shadowgrounds Survivor, Trine and Trine 2: Complete Story. All four games are available on Windows PC, Mac and Linux, and buyers can purchase the titles separately (the 75 percent discount applies to each title individually) or buy the collection for $8.75.

Online video game retailer GOG.com is having an extended Black Friday sale until Dec. 3, discounting more than 60 games by 70 percent.

A range of DRM-free classics and newer titles are included in the sale. Buyers can pick up Rollercoaster Tycoon: Deluxe for only $1.79, Capitalism 2 for $2.99, Guilty Gear X2 #Reload for $1.79, Krush Kill ‘N Destroy 2: Krossfire for $1.79, Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena for $4.49 and Alone In The Dark 1, 2 and 3 for $1.79.

Multiplayer party card game Cards Against Humanity is having a special Black Friday sale today ... by increasing the price of all its products by $5.

The tongue-in-cheek “sale” pokes fun at traditional Black Friday deals, which are characterized by heavily-discounted products that encourage consumers to make savings by spending money.

U.K. video game retailer, Game, is holding its own hourly Black Friday sale, with discounts on titles like FIFA 14, Dishonored, Football Manager 2014 and more.

During the 12 hour sale period, a new deal will appear every hour on the hour. At the time of writing, Deadfall Adventures, FIFA 14 and The Lord of the Rings (the motion picture trilogy) are on sale. Later today, Football Manager 2014 and Dishonored will be discounted.

Sony is promoting a handful of good deals on PlayStation products that will be available for the Black Friday weekend, including an annual PlayStation Plus subscription that’s just $29.99 on Friday, Nov. 29.

Normally, PlayStation Plus — now a requirement to play many PS4 titles online — costs $49.99 for a one-year membership, making the promotion a solid deal for PS3, PS Vita and PS4 owners. The discount will be offered at Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Toys R Us and Walmart.

Microsoft is offering discounts on the Xbox 360 console and specific Xbox 360 titles for Black Friday through its online store.

The 4GB Xbox 360 Kinect holiday bundle, which includes the Kinect, a month of Xbox Live Gold and two Kinect games, is currently available for a $50 discount of $249.99. The 250GB Kinect holiday bundle, meanwhile, which includes the sensor, a month of Xbox Live Gold and three games, is available for $349.99.

The Nintendo 3DS bundle for Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon will be available at a limited-time $20 discount at Best Buy, according to a tweet from Nintendo of America’s official Twitter account.

In addition to a digital version of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, the bundle features a special-edition cobalt blue 3DS. The offer is valid from Friday, Nov. 29 to Saturday, Nov. 30. Nintendo announced earlier this week that it would release the new bundle Nov. 28.

The Black Friday sale over at GameFly includes downloadable PC versions of dozens of popular video games at deeply discounted prices, according to its website.

Beginning today, rather than spend $50 or $60 on titles like Saint’s Row 4 and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist, buyers can grab them for $26.79 and $23.99, respectively. Other high-profile discounts include BioShock Infinite for $7.99, Assassin’s Creed 3 for $5.99, L.A. Noire Complete Edition for $5.99 and downloadable content for Dishonored — The Brigmore Witches and The Knife of Dunwall — for $5.35 each.

Valve kicked off its Steam Autumn Sale today, bringing savings of 33 to 80 percent off on a slew of PC titles, including Sleeping Dogs, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Rogue Legacy and many more. Like previous Steam sales, the company will be offering a mix of daily deals and flash sales that update every eight hours.

The Steam Autumn Sale runs from today until Dec. 3.

Square Enix’s Thanksgiving sale offers a dozen recently-released and older classic company titles for up to 75 percent off, the company announced today.

The sale will run today through Monday, Dec. 2 while supplies last. The company notes that discounts are applied to video games only; pre-orders, soundtracks and other merchandise are not included in the sale. Titles span a handful of platforms, from Xbox 360 to PlayStation Vita and as far back as the Nintendo DS and PSOne.

Electronics retailer Fry’s Black Friday deals feature discounts on hardware including the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PlayStation Vita, as well as significant price reductions on subscriptions to PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live, according to the store’s Black Friday flyer.

Beginning at 9 a.m. PT at participating Fry’s stores, shoppers can grab a one year membership to PS Plus for $27.99, $22 below its regular price, or a three-month subscription to Xbox Live Gold at $10 off for $14.99. Also beginning at 9 a.m. PT are the retailer’s sales on games, with titles including the console versions of Diablo 3, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and Call of Duty: Ghosts for $39.99 each.

In honor of Black Friday, Atlus is holding sales on select digital and physical titles in its PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita catalogue.

Xbox Live Game Store Black Friday sales, which will run from Nov. 26 to Dec. 2, feature a range of Xbox 360 titles discounted including Tomb Raider for $14.99, Metro: Last Light for $24.99, Deadpool for $29.99 and more, according to listings showing up on the Xbox marketplace.

GameStop will offer discounts on its stock of video games across consoles and handhelds as well as two previous-generation hardware bundles this Black Friday, the company announced today.

The Xbox 360 bundle includes a 250 GB console, Halo 4 and the Tomb Raider reboot for $199. The PlayStation 3 bundle comes with a 250 GB system as well as Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us and Batman: Arkham Origins for $199 as well. Both bundles will only be available on Black Friday.

Nintendo is offering a handful of deals this week on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS hardware and software, including a new hardware bundle and special retailer-exclusive sales on the 2DS and 3DS, the company announced today.

Beginning Nov. 28, Nintendo will offer a new 3DS bundle including a Cobalt Blue 3DS handheld along with Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, which was released earlier this year, for $169.99.

Beginning at 8:10 a.m. ET on Monday, Nov. 25, Amazon will offer limited-time discounts on titles such as Borderlands 2: Game of the Year Edition, Remember Me, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix and many more. Sales will only last a few hours before rolling into the next round.

Sony is discounting games, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita systems as well as PlayStation Plus subscriptions on Black Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, according to a post today on the PlayStation Blog.

Amazon has already begun its “countdown to Black Friday deals week” for video games and everything else, including discounts on a wide variety of games, consoles and accessories.

The online retail giant will be running deals from now through Cyber Monday.

Retail giant Walmart announced today that it will offer its Black Friday deals a week early, with Black Friday-like prices on popular toys and electronics being made available starting Nov. 22.

The pre-Black Friday sale will be offered in Walmart stores and online. Some of the sale items include Skylanders and Disney Infinity Start Packs, which are normally priced at $74.96 and are being reduced to $37 during the sale period. Select PlayStation 4 and Xbox One titles like Call of Duty: Ghosts, NBA 2K14 and Battlefield 4 are also being reduced from $59.96 to $49.

Details of Best Buy’s Black Friday deals have emerged via Gottadeal.com, including price cuts on new Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 games as well as a PS3 bundle.

Best Buy is also offering iPad 2 for $299.99 (down $100) as well as 65-inch 1080p TVs for $999.99. The deals begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday Nov. 28.

Walmart’s slate of Black Friday discounts on games and hardware have been revealed, and include markdowns on most current-gen consoles and major cuts on recently-launched games.

Check out BFAds for all of the discounts Walmart will have on offer. The store will run several sessions of Black Friday events, but the games outlined above are available during its first event, which starts at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28.

An apparently leaked version of Kmart’s Black Friday 2013 ad posted on bfads.com includes deals on video games and systems that begin the night of Thanksgiving, Nov. 28.

Target’s Black Friday sales will include discounts on current-gen titles, accessories and more, according to ad scans posted on GottaDeal.com.

The ad includes three pages of video game sales. Titles such as Max Payne 3 and Just Dance 3 will be on sale for $10 each, while Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Just Dance Kids 2014 will be available for $25. Other deals include a $20 gift card with the purchase of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and a $10 gift card with a purchase of Call of Duty: Ghosts. Target will also sell a 4GB Xbox 360 with Kinect and two games for $189.99.

GameStop’s Black Friday sales have leaked and will include discounts on a large number of games, accessories, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 bundles and more, a GameStop representative confirmed to Polygon today.

The Black Friday flier was originally posted on GottaDeal.com. Sales kick off at midnight on Nov. 29, and buyers can pick up several Xbox 360 titles — including Diablo 3, Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts — for anywhere from $10 - $30 off their original price. Other titles, such as Red Dead Redemption, Borderlands 2, Skyrim, and BioShock Infinite will be 50 percent off for Xbox 360. PlayStation 3 titles The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls will also be on sale for $39.99 each.
