Gran Turismo 6 trailer seeks to resurrect legendary racer’s first love

A micro-trailer for Gran Turismo 6 features legendary race car driver Mario Andretti discussing the first car he fell in love with.

The car, an 1948 Hudson, was what inspired Andretti to become a racer; he ended up as one of the most-decorated Americans to ever race professionally. The “First Love” trailer is a prelude to a longer documentary about Andretti, the 1948 Hudson and Sony’s attempts to restore the vehicle in real life and recreate it in a digital form.

The 1948 Hudson will be included in Gran Turismo 6, which launches for PlayStation 3 on Dec. 6.
