Warhammer 40K: Space Wolf trailer demonstrates card game and turn-based combat gameplay

The announcement trailer for HeroCraft's Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf, a free-to-play collectible card game, highlights its turn-based tactical combat gameplay, playable characters and weapon types.

Playable characters include Wolf Scout, Grey Hunter and Wolf Guard, while players can take advantage of tools and weapons like the Bolter, Thunder Hammer, Flamer and Jump Pack.

The gameplay is determined by playing collectibles cards of weapons and moves and the resulting combat is animated onscreen in 3D. Collectible cards can be purchased, won though victories and upgraded through the Iron Priest's Forge.

Games Workshop and HeroCraft announced the Warhammer 40,000 universe-based game in August and is expected to launch Q2 2014 on iOS, Android, Windows PC and "other platforms."
