DICE details Battlefield 4's known issues and fixes

The development team behind Battlefield 4 posted a message to its forum today detailing the game's known issues and the steps it is taking to resolve them.

In the forum post, DICE categorized the known issues under "investigating," "fix upcoming," "fixed," "fix rolling out" and "pending future patch" to keep players informed of the status of those problems.

Some of the problems identified and are currently being fixed include a server update that will improve the join queue, a server update that will fix the issue of some players experiencing a game crash and being disconnected from the game's servers and a PC client patch that will resolve missing/corrupted audio in multiplayer.

Problems that have been fixed include a bug that caused the reload setting to incorrectly mimic the behavior from Hardcore servers and various Xbox 360 missions not working as intended.

"Players on all formats have been experiencing game crashes and freezes while playing," the team wrote. "We have logs of the most frequently occurring client crashes, and we are actively working to obliterate the cause of these crashes in upcoming updates.

"We would like to thank all players who have been reporting their issues to us — your feedback is invaluable when making sure we can deliver the Battlefield 4 experience you all deserve."

The full list of the known problems and fixes to date can be viewed here. Polygon recently spoke with EA's CEO Andrew Wilson about the process the company underwent to ensure that its studios could respond quickly to problems after a game's launch.
