MLB 14 The Show arriving on PS4, PS3, PS Vita in spring 2014

MLB 14 The Show will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in spring 2014, according to the official PlayStation Blog.

MLB 14 The Show will "lay the foundation" for year-to-year saves, saving players to start over with each new iteration of the franchise. PS4 users will also be able capture and share gameplay moments using the next-gen console's “share feature.”

The game will also include an all-new Quick Counts option, which "utilizes generated pitch counts" allowing gamers to play a full 9 inning game in under half an hour. The shortened gameplay will not affect realistic statistics. New Road To The Show features include a new advancement system, overhauled player creation process and a reworked pre-draft prospect showcase.

Announced at the 2013 Player's Choice Awards on the MLB Network, this year's cover athlete is Miguel Cabrera, as voted by his peers. Cabrera is an eight-time All-Star, 2012 American League Most Valuable Player, 2012 American League Triple-Crown Award winner, two-time Sporting News Player of the Year (2012, 2013), two-time Hank Aaron Award winner (2012, 2013) and Detroit Tigers third baseman.
