Seven-hour PSN maintenance scheduled for Nov. 7

The PlayStation Network will be partially inaccessible for seven hours on Nov. 7 for maintenance, according to a post on the PlayStation Community Forums.

The maintenance window is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 7 from 11:00 a.m. ET/8:00 a.m PT until 7:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. PT.

The PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management will not be available to users during the seven-hour maintenance window. Those who want to play games online and use apps during the maintenance period are advised to sign in to PSN between now and before the beginning of this Thursday's maintenance window.

According to a post on the European PlayStation Community forums, the PlayStation Network in the region will partially inaccessible for 11 hours due to maintenance. The European PSN maintenance window is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 7 at 2:00 p.m. GMT until Friday, Nov. 8 at 1:00 a.m. GMT. Sony advises that users may experience additional downtime for testing purposes.

Earlier this week, Sony rolled out a new system software update for the PlayStation Vita. Prepping for next week's PlayStation 4 launch, the update introduced PS4 Link, an app allowing the Vita to connect to the next-gen console for Remote Play and Second Screen capabilities.
