Bravely Default gameplay trailer warns of the crystal's darkening

A new English-language gameplay trailer for Nintendo 3DS JRPG Bravely Default: Flying Fairy shows what's at stake for the characters before jumping into the combat.

On a global scale, the world's crystal is becoming corrupted by darkness and its light is fading; this is of particular concern to a young healer named Agnes. On the more personal side of things, the trailer shows the destruction of the hero Tiz's hometown, spurring him on a quest for answers.

The rest of the trailer focuses on how the game plays, from running around maps, flying airships and engaging in turn-based combat in traditional JRPG style.

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy hits Europe and Australia in early December, and will be coming to North America some time in the first quarter of 2014.
