When the Xbox One is released Nov. 22, the next-gen console will be able to redeem items using QR codes, those blocky squares of black-and-white print that machines read and interpret.
A spokesperson for Microsoft confirmed the functionality to Polygon earlier this year, which will allow Xbox One players to redeem QR codes for items like game downloads.
But how long will it take Microsoft's new console to transform a QR code into an item on the Xbox One? Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb posted a video on Vine to answer that very question. Check it out below to see Hryb tell the Xbox One to "use a code," then hold the QR code so that the Kinect camera can see and interpret it as a 14-day Xbox Live trial in a matter of moments.
