As promised, Rockstar Games has begun making in-game cash deposits of $500,000 for all players of Grand Theft Auto Online. The 'Stimulus Package' cash is expected to take two days to appear in the accounts of all players.
Announced just after the launch of Grand Theft Auto 5's online multiplayer world, the cash is a compensatory offer for the mode's difficult launch, which suffered from player-connection issues and lost save games. Yesterday, Rockstar announced that it has fixed the game's issues with a patch update.
"Attention all players, we have begun the Stimulus Package direct deposit into each of your in-game bank accounts," offered a Rockstar statement today. "This GTA$500,000 deposit applies to all GTA Online players in the month of October 2013.
"We expect that it will take up to two full days for the Stimulus Package to be fully delivered to the entire player base from October 2013, so please be patient if you do not see it appearing in your in-game bank account just yet. "Thanks go out to everyone for their continued patience and understanding while we worked through these issues, and we can't wait to bring more into the world of GTA Online."
