Final Fantasy 10-2 HD will include all bonus content from the International version of the game, including its Last Mission expansion, producer Yoshinori Kitase confirmed to Siliconera.
As of July, Square Enix was still undecided as to whether or not Last Mission would be included in Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD due to the large size of the expansion.
Final Fantasy 10-2 International + Last Mission also featured the Creature Creator system, which allows players to capture monsters and even characters from previous title Final Fantasy 10 — including Tidus and Lulu — to fight in battle alongside Yuna and company. Kitase said that this feature will also be included in Final Fantasy 10-2 HD alongside Last Mission.
"Yes, in addition to the Last Mission from Final Fantasy 10-2, dresspheres and the Creature Creator will be included in the game," Kitase said. "I believe this is the first time that these elements will be playable to Western gamers, so I hope you look forward to it."
Additionally, Final Fantasy 10-2 HD featured three new dresspheres, costumes that Yuna, Rikku and Paine could equip to use certain job classes' abilities, such as black and white mages and warriors. These three new dresspheres are the Festival Goer, Psychic and Bare. The Festival Goer allows the girls to attack with fireworks, while the Psychic dressphere includes a time freeze spell and the ability to absorb elemental damage. Bare's use is exclusive to Last Mission, and can only be equipped once all a girls' dressphere run out of HP or "break" on a level of the dungeon. Players can only punch and kick in this stripped-down basic attire.
Final Fantasy 10 and 10-2 HD will launch for PlayStation 3 and Vita this winter.
