Windforge, Snowed In Studios’ steampunk-themed RPG teeming with sky whales, arrived on Kickstarter this week to raise funds for the game’s “last phase of development.”
Windforge docks at Kickstarter to fund ‘last phase of development’

The 2D game combines elements of block-based games like Minecraft, role-playing games and shooters in a procedurally generated world. We spent some hands-on time with Windforge at GDC 2013, so be sure to check out our impressions of boarding an airship, being attacked by fire-breathing basilisks and taking down and mining a sky whale.
As of this writing, the developer has secured CA$3,587 of its CA$50,000 goal from 63 backers with 29 days remaining. If funded, pledges beginning at CA$15 will net backers a copy of the game at its estimated March 2014 release date as well as a a custom-made e-card from the developers.
