NBA 2K14 companion app hits today on iOS, Android, Kindle

NBA 2K14 players can now interact with the game on their mobile devices with the MyNBA2K14 app, which is launching today for free on iOS, Android and Kindle, publisher 2K Sports announced today.

The companion app, which was made by NBA 2K14 developer Visual Concepts and Cat Daddy Games, allows people to connect to the console and Windows PC versions of NBA 2K14 in two ways through their existing NBA 2K account.

Users can earn as much as 2,000 Virtual Currency (VC) every day in the MyGame mode, which also displays information such as leaderboards and statistics from the full game's MyCareer mode. And the app's MyTeam Mobile mode is a shrunken-down version of the full game's MyTeam mode, with players using their virtual card collections to battle other app users.

MyNBA2K14 also keeps users updated with real-time scores from real-world NBA games on the 2K Ticker. You can see the app in action in the trailer above, and download it from the iTunes App Store.
