Peggle 2 launches Dec. 9 for Xbox One

PopCap will release its downloadable puzzle title, Peggle 2, on Dec. 9 for Xbox One, VentureBeat reports.

Peggle 2 will feature similar gameplay to its predecessor, with players trying to destroy pegs. In Peggle 2, different colored pegs have different effects. Orange pegs, for example, will make it easier to clear levels, while green pegs activate a player’s special abilities. Players will also be able to use helpers, such as a unicorn or a beer-drinking troll, to clear levels.

PopCap announced the game would launch in December last month; Peggle 2 is considered a “launch timeframe” title for Xbox One, rather than a launch title. The game will be available for $11.99.
