Final Fantasy 11 players who return for the massively multiplayer online game’s 11th anniversary will have the opportunity to play for free during the celebration, Square Enix announced today.
Final Fantasy 11 offers returning players free content until Dec. 23

The offer began today with the "Vana'diel Experience" campaign. The accounts of inactive players with previous subscriptions have automatically been reactivated, allowing them to play free of charge. Square Enix is also allowing players to download Final Fantasy 11: Ultimate Collection Seekers Edition for free. This edition includes all the game's expansions, beginning with 2003's Rise of the Zilart to Seekers of Adoulin, released earlier this year. The Ultimate Collection Seekers Edition does not include the bonus items offered with retail purchases.
Players will be able to access the aforementioned content for free until Monday, Dec. 23.
In August, Square Enix announced that it would also release three free battle arenas for the 11th anniversary: Vision of Abyssea, Scars of Abyssea and Heroes of Abyssea.
