The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences announced the addition of three speakers to the 2014 DICE Summit today.

Journey composer Austin Wintory will discuss "Music's Rising Tides" and write a score onstage. Gone Home designer and The Fullbright Company co-founder Steve Gaynor will examine the future of independent game development in a talk called "Strangers in a Strange Time: Gone Home's Place in the Changing Indie Landscape." In "Unlearning History: Avoiding the Cultural Pitfalls of Traditional Entertainment," Kabam Studios president Andrew Sheppard will discuss why developers should embrace games' evolving nature.

"This latest round of speakers adds emerging and established thought leaders to the already diverse line-up for the 2014 DICE Summit," said Martin Rae, president, Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences. "With speakers from the console games space, professional gaming and key middleware industries already represented, next year's Summit promises a 360-degree view for where The New Golden Age is headed."

The DICE Summit 2014 will be held Feb. 4-6 in Las Vegas. Previously announced speakers include representatives from Unity, Microsoft Game Studios, DeNA, Major League Gaming as well as Journey producer Robin Hunicke, John Hanke, founder of Google's Niantic Labs and Electronic Arts founder Trip Hawkins.
