Giajin Games' Bit.Trip title Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien is coming to PlayStation Vita on Dec. 17, according to a post on the PlayStation Blog.
Runner 2 will cost $9.99, with PS Plus members getting a 20 percent discount at $7.99. The Good Friends Character Pack DLC, which lets players run as other video game figures including Raz from Psychonauts and Dr. Fetus from Super Meat Boy, will also be available for the Vita version at launch. This DLC will available for $2.99 and discounted to $2.09 for PS Plus users.
According to Gaijin Games associate producer Dant Rambo, the Vita version of Runner 2 is coming due to fervent fan request.
"This inspired us to give it our all with the Vita version, and to make it just as good as its console counterparts," he wrote. "As it turns out, this wasn't such a difficult task. As any Vita owner can confirm, it's an incredibly powerful platform."
Runner 2 was released for PlayStation 3 earlier this year. In June, Gaijin told Polygon that it was developing the Vita version of Runner 2 and that the company aiming to release it during the summer. Read our impression of the Vita version from E3 here.
