Crytek and mobile developer DeNA will release a free-to-play game called The Collectables for iPhone, iPad and Android devices in 2014, the developers announced today.

In The Collectables, players build and customize a squad of soldiers to do battle worldwide. According to the game's website, "players must master the unique skills of their military units" in order to be successful in battle. The Collectables will run on Crytek's CryEngine. Watch the trailer above for a look at gameplay and a few featured characters.
Those interested can pre-register for the game in order to be notified when it becomes available. Early adopters will also get exclusive character Reload with special edition gear.
