Help us decide the Besties' best games of the year (update)

Chris Plante co-founded Polygon in 2012 and is now editor-in-chief. He co-hosts The Besties, is a board member of the Frida Cinema, and created NYU’s first games journalism course.

The Besties are prepared to record their annual best game of the year video specials. But before we shoot, we need your help.

In our bracket, 16 games will face off for the title of Besty. We've already chosen 12 of those games. We need your help to pick the final four.

Here's our current top 12:

Last of Us
Legend of Zelda: Link Between Worlds
Rogue Legacy
Super Mario 3D World
Assassins Creed 4
Gone Home
Saints Row 4
Tomb Raider

A lot of good games are on the wire. Ridiculous Fishing, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, BioShock Infinite and Kentucky Route Zero to name a few. But the choice is no longer up to us. The power is yours, dear reader.

Let's keep the process simple. Each person is allowed one vote. Multiple votes will be nullified. The four games with the most votes will be added to our list. Tie-breakers will be decided by New York Giraffe.

Here's the format for voting in the comments.

Title in bold

That's it. No need for fluff! May the best besty be best!

UPDATE: We're tallying the votes at 3pm ET today so if you haven't voted yet, get to it!

UPDATE 2: Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote! Here are your selected games:

BioShock Infinite
Kentucky Route Zero
The Stanley Parable
Fire Emblem: Awakening

Remember, all sixteen games will be entered into a bracket and go head to head starting December 23 when the Besties Game of the Year video special begins. Get pumped!
