The "biggest update yet" to Minecraft - Pocket Edition is available now for Android and iOS, according to a post on developer Mojang's official site.

Update 0.8.0 adds a bunch of new features, including mine carts, rails and powered rails, new textures and colors from the PC version, new carpets, wood types, crops, food types, and much more. Mojang also "massively increased" the game's draw distance, which you can tweak in the game's options menu, made mobs more intelligent, improved lighting and fog effects and squashed some bugs.

You can download update 0.8.0 through Amazon, Google Play and the iOS App Store.
