Kerbal Space Program update 0.23 will launch Dec. 17, developer Squad announced this week.
Several new features will arrive in the space simulation game in update 0.23, including players' ability to adjust gear, engines, wheels and more during construction. The game's R&D building will add the Science Archives, which will allow players to browse all of the science they've collected in Career Mode. Finally, a new part called the Laboratory Module will let two Kerbals working together to process experiments before transmitting them home, which will increase their value.
"We continue to update and enhance our Career Mode but this update should also please the sandbox players with our 'tweakable' parts, that give them more customization opportunities during building," Kerbal Space Program lead developer Felipe Falanghe said. "We're going to have a lot of fun showing all of this off during KerbalKon, which is the best possible way to introduce our community to these new features."
Squad will preview the upcoming update Dec. 12 and 13 during KerbalKon through the game's official Twitch channel, KSP-TV. Other planned streams include discussions about what to expect in 2014 and creating the user interface as well as explanations of add-ons and advanced features.
