Fireproof Games released The Room 2 today on iPad, and the studio also made the original game free for a limited time to mark the release of the sequel.

The Room, which Fireproof originally launched in September 2012 on iPad, is a puzzle game in which the player is asked to open a series of boxes by solving puzzles to open the locks on the devices. The Guildford, U.K.-based studio has sold more than 2 million copies of The Room across iPad, iPhone and Android.
The Room 2 is now available for $4.99 on iPad; it will be released on iPhone and Android next year.
