Mighty No. 9 is making a cameo in Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z

Michael McWhertor is a journalist with more than 17 years of experience covering video games, technology, movies, TV, and entertainment.
According to the Japanese Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z website, the star of Mighty No. 9 will make an appearance in the gory action game as part of a downloadable content pack. Beck is one of three costumes currently planned, but it’s not clear if the costume will be available outside of Japan.
Having a cartoonish super-powered robot show up in a zombie game is something Inafune has some experience with. While he was still at Capcom, Mega Man’s outfit made an appearance in Dead Rising, and Proto Man later appeared in Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.
Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is slated for release in March 2014. Mighty No. 9 is expected sometime in 2015.
