Naughty Dog and friends wish you happy holidays

2013 was a banner year for Naughty Dog, and the studio put out a holiday card today to celebrate its good fortune over the past 12 months and thank its fans.

The card features fan-favorite characters and a creature from the studio's most recent games, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception and The Last of Us. From left to right: Chloe Frazer (Uncharted 3), an Infected and then Joel (The Last of Us), Victor "Sully" Sullivan and Nathan Drake (Uncharted 3), Ellie (The Last of Us) and Elena Fisher (Uncharted 3).

Naughty Dog launched The Last of Us this past June to near-universal acclaim, and last month, the studio marked the second anniversary of the release of Uncharted 3 by making all of the game's multiplayer maps available for free. Earlier this month, Naughty Dog won the Studio of the Year award at the Spike VGX. The studio is currently working on its first-ever campaign add-on, the Left Behind DLC for The Last of Us, as well as an Uncharted title on PlayStation 4.

"Thank you for your comments, critiques, feedback, love and for showing up whenever we dropped games, DLC or news in 2013. Your support keeps our studio going and our aim true. We're grateful to have some of the best and most passionate fans in gaming and it's just tremendously cool to have backing from all of you," reads a post from Naughty Dog on the PlayStation Blog.

The studio added, "2014 marks a very special time in Naughty Dog's history — we'll have more information about what that means early next year." It's possible that this is a reference to 2014 being Naughty Dog's 30th year of existence: It was founded in 1985 as Jam Software before being renamed Naughty Dog in 1989.
