Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 will no longer be available to buy on the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live Arcade in the coming days, Capcom announced today on its blog.
In the lead-up to the games being removed from the store, Capcom is holding a sale where customers can get 50 percent off downloadable content on PSN for both titles. Details about a sale on XBLA are yet to be released.
The last day the DLC can be bought on PSN is Dec. 17 in North America and Dec. 19 in Europe. The last day the DLC can be bought for XBLA globally is Dec. 26. The removal of the games from the store will not remove the games from the libraries of those who have already bought them.
We have reached out to Capcom to confirm whether the last day to purchase DLC is also the last day the games will be available on PSN and XBLA.
UPDATE: A Capcom representative confirmed that the last day both games will be available on PSN and XBLA correspond with the last day the DLC will be available for purchase.
