The first trailer for TT Games’ Lego adaptation of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit films drags unlikely hero Bilbo Baggins into a blocky adventure.
Lego The Hobbit’s first trailer wants no adventure here, good morning
When Gandalf the Gray comes looking for a partner on an adventure, Bilbo initially wants no part of it, preferring to remain safe and comfortable in the Shire he calls home. However, as those who have seen the films (or read the books) know, he winds up drawn into the journey of Thorin Oakenshield and the Dwarves to retake their ancestral home under the Lonely Mountain.
The trailer shows off scenes from the game, which covers the first two movies in the planned trilogy: An Unexpected Journey and The Desolation of Smaug, which opened in theaters last week.
Announced last month, Lego The Hobbit will be hitting Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Mac and Windows PC in 2014.
