Ryse: Son of Rome developer Crytek added two sets of downloadable content to the game's Gladiator co-op mode today, one in a free update and the other in a paid add-on, publisher Microsoft Studios announced today on Xbox Wire.
Ryse: Son of Rome’s Gladiator mode gets free and paid DLC (update)

Samit Sarkar (he/him) is Polygon’s deputy managing editor. He has more than 17 years of experience covering video games, movies, television, and technology.
The free content consists of two new level events in the gladiatorial arena: an enemy turret that launches arrows, and Reward Statues of Roman gods that can be used to momentarily increase your health or focus. Two additional arenas and two extra gladiator skins are available in a separate piece of DLC, the Colosseum Pack. Henge is set in a forest, while in Ascension (screenshot above), players must make their way through Hades’ lair to the surface.
Players can pick up the Colosseum Pack for $3.99; it is included in the Ryse DLC season pass, which costs $19.99.
Update: Microsoft has released a trailer for the Colosseum Pack. You can watch it below.
