Killing Floor: Calamity launches on Ouya today

Killing Floor: Calamity — a reimagined top-down arcade version of the first-person shooter Killing Floor — launched exclusively on Ouya today.

The game takes place in the countryside of England after a series of cloning experiments for the military have gone wrong. Players must enter these locations to cleanse the areas of zombie-like "failed experiments."

Killing Floor: Calamity features 21 characters from the PC shooter version of Killing Floor, nine new maps specifically designed for the top-down shooter, 35 unique weapons and lets players experience the game solo or in two-player co-op mode on a shared screen.

The game can be downloaded from Ouya today. The original Killing Floor for Linux, Mac and Windows PC is available from Steam. Until Jan. 2, the game is discounted by 50 percent.
