PlayStation 4 owners can try out Killzone: Shadow Fall's 24-player multiplayer mode for free next weekend, according to a listing on the Sony Computer Entertainment online store.
A PlayStation Plus subscription is required to access the Killzone: Shadow Fall weekend warfare event, which will begin on Dec. 27 at 6 p.m. ET and run until Dec. 31 at 6 p.m. ET.
Players will have the option to step into the shoes of an elite VSA soldier or a Helghast shock trooper and have an unlimited number of deployments throughout the four-day event. All progress made during the event will also transfer into the full game for players who purchase it after.
The listing notes that up to 12 GB of the game must be downloaded first into order to play as it continues to download.
The event will take place in both European and North American territories, the latter for which was confirmed in a PlayStation Blog post earlier this week. Check out Polygon's review of Guerrilla Games' PS4 shooter here.
