Ninja Theory originally unveiled the side-scrolling brawler this past May with a release planned for the summer.
Fightback begins with the kidnapping of the player character’s sister, which provides the impetus for more than 100 levels of hand-to-hand fighting as well as combat with weapons such as rocket launchers. Everything is controlled with touch-based gestures. Players must get through the levels within a time limit, although Fightback also offers Endless Mode for less stressful play.
Fightback is available in the iTunes App Store here, and a launch trailer can be seen above. We’ve reached out to Chillingo to ask about an Android release date, and we’ll update this article with any information we receive.
