Yacht Club Games’ retro-style platformer Shovel Knight is now expected to hit multiple platforms in early 2014, the developer has confirmed.
Shovel Knight now expected in ‘early 2014’

Shovel Knight’s original estimated delivery date was sometime in September, but that was before Yacht Club’s project funded four times its goal on Kickstarter and grew beyond its initial design. Originally, the title was in development for Windows PC, but versions for Linux, Mac, Nintendo 3DS and Wii U were added as funding passed $300,000. The developer said on Kickstarter that it’s putting that money toward “extra polish” for the game, leading to longer development time.
On Twitter, the developer said “early 2014 seems like a much more likely release date” for Shovel Knight as it’s currently focusing “on just getting the game to a finished state.”
