League of Legends’ Showdown event is live until Jan. 2

League of Legends' wintertime Showdown event went live this week, according to a post on the game's official site.

The event will last until Jan. 2, and allow for 1v1 and 2v2 duels on the single-lane Howling Abyss map. Players can win three ways: By scoring first blood (in 1v1) or two kills (in 2v2), clearing waves to 100 CS or taking down an enemy turret before they destroy yours.
