Skullgirls Encore adds ‘The Typing of the Skullgirls’ mode

The upcoming re-release of Skullgirls, Skullgirls Encore, will feature a new mode in its Story, Arcade and Versus options, lead programmer Mike Zaimont announced during a recent livestream.

“The Typing of the Skullgirls” mode (inspired by arcade game The Typing of the Dead) will challenge players to type an on-screen word when using super attacks. If the word is typed correctly, the attack will do 1.5 more damage than usual. If typed “right but not perfect,” attacks deal regular damage, while incorrect entries will receive a 10 percent reduction on damage. The mode will not work online or in Tournament mode.
