Princess Zelda, legendary ruler of the kingdom of Hyrule and previous Super Smash Bros. participant, will return to the fighting game’s roster for its upcoming installment on Nintendo Wii U and 3DS, according to a new listing on the game’s website.
Princess Zelda returning to duke it out in next Super Smash Bros.

Zelda first appeared in the series in GameCube title Super Smash Bros. Melee, wearing her iconic pink dress and boasting the ability to transform into Sheik, her mysterious cover identity from The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time. She returned for the Nintendo Wii version, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, in her garb from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and is listed on the roster as “Zelda/Sheik.”
In both her previous incarnations, Zelda’s attacks include the shield spell “Naryu’s Love,” fireball projectiles “Din’s Fire” and teleportation spell “Farore’s Wind” that helps her maneuver around the stage. In Brawl, Zelda’s Final Smash attack is her series signature “Light Arrow.”
Zelda joins a roster of familiar faces for Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and 3DS, including Fire Emblem hero Marth, brothers Mario and Luigi and fellow Legend of Zelda hero Link. Newcomers to the series include Super Mario Galaxy’s Princess Rosalina and her sidekick Luma, the Wii Fit Trainer, an Animal Crossing Villager and Capcom’s own Blue Bomber, Mega Man.
