For decades, says the narrator in subtitled Mandarin, China has made the West’s toys and electronics, enduring its condescending attitude. Now, however, the Middle Kingdom plans on spreading its own dominance across the world by force, if necessary.
The trailer shows off the expansion pack’s four new maps from the sharp limestone pillars of Guilin Peaks to the rolling sand dunes of Silk Road. Helicopters duel in the skies in a preview of the new Air Superiority mode and soldiers blast away at each other from the backs of dirt bikes.
China Rising will launch worldwide on Dec. 17; it launches today for Premium members, though the rollout has been reportedly bumpy.
