Robot adventure Doki-Doki Universe launches Dec. 10

Doki-Doki Universe, HumaNature Studios' story of a robot's quest for humanity, will be released Dec. 10 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, the studio announced today.

Doki-Doki Universe tells the story of a robot named QT3 that was abandoned by its family on an asteroid, and found 32 years later by an alien. QT3 must prove its humanity to the alien, because if it can't, it will be scrapped. As QT3, players will venture across 32 planets and 50 asteroids, playing through various short stories and learning about humans along the way.

HumaNature founder Greg Johnson announced during GDC Next last month that Doki-Doki Universe would be released in December. The game will be available in two versions.

The full game — which will cost $14.99 and support cross-buy across PS4, PS3 and PS Vita — includes the entire story mode, 31 personality quizzes and the in-game messaging system known as Doki-Doki Mail. HumaNature will also be offering a free-to-play version of the game, the Starter Pack, which comes with QT3's home planet, a tutorial planet, 16 personality quizzes and Doki-Doki Mail. A free-to-play mobile app outside of the game will allow players to use Doki-Doki Mail without buying the game.
