With the launch of the next-gen consoles comes a renewed interest by both Microsoft and Sony to court indie developers for their new machines.
Friends List: What makes a developer indie?
Both companies have been announcing programs and participating developers for much of the year. The latest news hit this morning when Microsoft detailed the first wave of developers participating in their ID@Xbox indie development program.
But what exactly is an indie developer?
Today on Friends list, Polygon news editor Brian Crecente and Vlambeer co-founder Rami Ismail will discuss what the console interest in indies means for the developers and what exactly makes an indie dev, indie.
The episode will begin at 2 p.m. ET (or thereabouts!) and will be available via YouTube following the recording.
