Gran Turismo 6 intro video is a love letter to vehicle design

The opening video to PlayStation 3 racer Gran Turismo 6 comes in two distinct parts.

The first part is a peaceful, Studio Ghibli-esque love letter to the design of cars from early sketches to tiny models and the first prototypes, all set to an ethereal string and piano piece.

The second half changes the mood abruptly, with fast-paced rock underscoring fast-paced races; the video shows off the many different types of cars in Gran Turismo 6 from Formula 1 racers to classic muscle cars and yes, even the lunar rover.

Gran Turismo 6 launches on PS3 tomorrow.
