Kabam to pay $18M for naming rights to college stadium

Kabam, the mobile-focused studio behind Kingdoms of Camelot and The Hobbit: Armies of the Third Age, will pay $18 million over 15 years for the naming rights to California Memorial Stadium in Berkley, the San Francisco Gate reports.

Several members of Kabam's executive team are graduates of UC Berkley, including CEO Kevin Chou, who graduated from the university with a BS in Business Administration. Representatives for both organizations are expected to make the official announcement at a press conference later today.

Memorial Stadium, construction of which was completed in 1923, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.
