The Desolation of Smaug, an expansion for Kabam's free-to-play mobile game, The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth, is available now for Android and iOS.
Desolation of Smaug expansion hits The Hobbit mobile game
The expansion, which has the same name as the upcoming second installment in Peter Jackson’s continuing Hobbit film trilogy, will include new armor and weapons to battle the titular dragon with. You can download the free app through the iOS App Store and Google Play.
Kabam also revealed today that The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth has grossed nearly $100 million since its release in November 2012. The Desolation of Smaug is among the titles from a collaboration announced last year between Kabam and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
