Bethesda Softworks won’t be showing or talking about its upcoming or unannounced games at this year’s Spike video game awards show, according to vice president of PR and marketing at Bethesda Pete Hines.
Bethesda ‘not showing anything’ at Spike VGX awards

In a tweet, Hines cooled ongoing speculation that the company is set to announce a new Fallout game, a title the company has been rumored to be working on. That speculation has been compounded by the existence of a cryptic website that alludes to the Fallout series, but which does not appear official. Bethesda has not commented on the authenticity of the site, thesurvivor2299.com, saying it does not comment on rumor and speculation.
Bethesda was responsible for a surprise announcement at the 2011 Spike Video Game Awards, revealing The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim in a teaser video. The company’s currently announced but unreleased slate includes The Evil Within, The Elder Scrolls Online and Wolfenstein: The New Order.
This year’s awards show, rebranded VGX, will be livestreamed on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. PT. Viewers will be able to watch the show online at Spike, Comedy Central, MTV, MTV2, BET and GameTrailers, as well as on Android, iOS, Twitch, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
