D3Publisher and Marvel Entertainment's Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign is now available to download and play for free on Windows PC through Steam, the two companies announced today.
The title features the match-three gameplay of previous Puzzle Quest titles, pitting the heroes and villains of the Marvel universe against each other in a story-driven game.
The free-to-play game, which features the likes of Spider-Man, Venom, Iron Man, Thor, Loki, Wolverine, Hawkeye and more, comes with its share of in-game purchases and add-ons. On Steam, those packs range from $9.99 for the S.H.I.E.L.D. New Recruit Pack to Nick Fury's Doomsday Plan, which costs $99.99. Both feature varying allotments of Hero Points, letting you recruit special characters and upgrade them, and Iso-8, which are for recruiting standard characters and level boosts.
Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign was released earlier this year for Android and iOS. The mobile version is also free-to-play, and includes in-app purchases.
