The latest Kickstarter update from Project Phoenix, Creative Intelligence Arts’ upcoming JRPG, offers an early look at character animations.
Project Phoenix video demonstrates simple animation

The video, which you can watch on Dropbox, includes a very basic view of character movement, pathfinding and simple melee attacks. According to the post, Creative Intelligence Arts released the video due to “overwhelming interest.”
Project Phoenix completed its Kickstarter campaign in September, surpassing its $100,000 goal with more than $1 million in funds. The strategic, squad-based title is being developed by gaming veterans whose work includes Diablo 3, the Final Fantasy series and several Square Enix projects.
Project Phoenix is currently slated to launch mid-2015 for Linux, Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and Windows PC. A limited version is also expected for iOS and Android.
