The latest trailer for Eidos Montreal's Thief offers a look at the city that forms the backdrop of the franchise's upcoming instalment, hinting at what happens when misunderstood forces are tampered with.

The video, called “Channeling the Primal,” features in-game footage of the stealth assassinations, thievery and lock-picking that make up the core gameplay of the title. It also introduces Garrett’s fellow thief Erin who is shown falling into the primal vortex.

Thief launches for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on Feb. 25, 2014, in North America. During VGX 2013, Eidos Montreal detailed how the game's companion app will connect with the game.
