Gearbox Software's shoot-and-loot adventure Borderlands 2 will be available for free to PlayStation Plus members when it enters the Instant Game Collection on Dec. 10, according to a post on the PlayStation Blog.
The PlayStation Store's holiday sale is also entering its second week, and features a dozen games at up to 30 percent off their original pricing.
Titles on sale include The Amazing Spider-Man, Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara, Dragon's Crown on both PS3 and PlayStation Vita, Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires, Marvel vs. Capcom Origins, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, MLB 13 The Show, NHL 14, One Piece Pirate Warriors 2, Spelunky on both Sony platforms, SpongeBob SquarePants: Plankton's Robotic Revenge and a Tomb Raider bundle featuring the game and its DLC.
This is also PS Plus members' last chance to grab Zen Pinball 2: Star Wars Pinball free for PS3 and Vita, as it leaves the Instant Game Collection on Dec. 17. Collection additions expected for later this month include Dyad and Grid 2 as well as Urban Trial Freestyle and Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed for the PS Vita.
