The road to Evo kicks off with Ozhadou Nations in Australia, Feb. 22-24

The Australian fighting game tournament Ozhadou Nations will take place in Sydney from Feb. 22-24, with participants eligible for qualifying points for the Evo World Championships in Las Vegas.

Now in its 11th consecutive year, the Ozhadou Nationals is one of the biggest fighting game tournaments in Australia and serves as one of the qualifying events in the lead-up to Evo.

This year the event will hold competitions for Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown and King of Fighters 13. More games will be announced as side tournaments closer to the date. Sponsors for the event include Razer, Avermedia, Gamecom, Madman Entertainment, Sega, Namco Bandai and Mindscape.

The Ozhadou Nationals will be held at The Red Room on Level 1, York St. in Sydney. Pre-registration for the event is now open.
