Dreamfall Chapters stretch goals include Mac, Linux and mobile ports, possibly Ouya and Steam Box

Stretch goals for the Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey Kickstarter campaign will include Mac and Linux ports, with mobile, Ouya and Steam Box versions a possibility, series creator Ragnar Tørnquist wrote in a Reddit AMA yesterday.

In response to questions regarding the campaign's stretch goals, Tørnquist confirmed that Mac and Linux will be the first additional platforms unlocked through funding. He also noted that he would like to consider versions for iOS and Android, as well as for Steam Box, Ouya and next-gen consoles.

"Mac and Linux will be our first stretch goals," he explained. "I'd love to work on the Ouya and Steambox. And, of course, mobile platforms like Android and iOS. After that, maybe next-gen consoles, but it won't be a focus area for us."

Tørnquist said that some stretch goals will offer additional game content such as side stories and more characters. He also hinted at a "a pretty huge stretch goal," his "favorite," which he called "TLJH." He dropped the acronym "TLJH" a second time in conjunction with expressing his desire to return to 2D developing.

"2D is easier, in a lot of ways," he said. "I'd like to go back to 2D again. We have had discussions. There are ideas. TLJH."

As of this posting, the Dreamfall Chapters Kickstarter is two-thirds funded with just over $600,000. Developer Red Thread Games has promised more information on stretch goals once they are in "batting range" of their $850,000 goal.
