The rise of mobile gaming was a major point of discussion during the DICE Summit last week, including during a talk called "Secret Sauce — Disruption on the Mobile Frontier" given by representatives of three prominent mobile developers.
The panelists — Phil Larsen, chief marketing officer at Fruit Ninja developer Halfbrick Studios; David Edery, CEO of Steambirds studio Spry Fox; and Julian Farrior, CEO of Paper Toss Friends developer Backflip Studios — took part in a discussion of the mobile market that was moderated by Matt Lee Johnston, formerly a senior producer at PopCap Games.
Topics discussed during the talk, which took place Wednesday, Feb. 6, included common misconceptions about the mobile gaming industry and where the market will go from here.
